Background:
 
What is the application of caustic soda in textile industry? Caustic soda is the solid state of sodium hydroxide, its chemical properties are particularly good, it has wide applications in agriculture, industry, medicine and in the textile industry.

However, Mercerizers for Textile Mills generate dilute caustic liquor, which if drained to effluent treatment plant, will create considerable problems in meeting the environmental standards. Weak lye from Mercerizers (around 4-6 be) in absence of CRP has to be taken to an ETP where it has to be neutralized with addition of huge amount of acid. This results in increase in TDS & harming the functioning of ETP posing a great challenge to the textile industry. Caustic recovery system / caustic soda recovery plant by concentrating wash liquor and using the same back in Mercerizer is the only feasible solution.
 
Customer Requirements:


For the processing request, the Caustic recovery system need a Caustic Soda Heat Exchanger which could work steadily under the steam application, then SHINEHEAT’s engineer recommend Welded Plate and Frame Heat Exchanger to do this Job.
The SHINEHEAT Steam Heater was design to one side dismountable. The Steam side is clean, it is all welded; however, the low concentration Caustic Soda had been mixed with impurities in production process, and need regular service and maintenance. So SHINEHEAT make this pass side in dismountable.
